TreyCurtis (YouTube)

TreyCurtis started out of boredom one summer day in 2008.  I had made a channel on youtube just so I could comment on other peoples' videos.  I really didn't have any idea that I would start putting music on there.  With over 490,000 total video views, and a steady audience of over 1,500 subscribers, "TreyCurtis" has grown quite a bit over the past few years.

YouTube has done so much for me, and I love it so much.  I have met so many people through it, and have gain many connections through it, that I have learned from.

The publicity opportunities that have been opened up for me through YouTube, have been through some pretty significant outlets.

Perez Hilton
In May, 2010, I had the surprise chance of being on PerezHilton.com.  PerezHilton.com is a celebrity gossip site, with hundreds of thousands, if not, millions of followers.  He had also tweeted my video of a cover I did called, "Believe" by Travis Garland.

OceanUp
OceanUp is another celebrity gossip site, focusing mainly on teen celebrities.  I had covered "Who I Am" by Nick Jonas in late December 2009, and woke up the next morning with over ten thousand views just from overnight.  They had apparently found my video, and put it up on their site.

NTV News
Along with my good friend, Lyndsee, I started the channel, ProjectOutLoud, the summer before our senior year, 2010.  We designed this channel to post fun parodies and other videos on.  In September, we wrote a parody to Katy Perry's summer anthem, "California Gurls", and changed it into, "Nebraska Kids".  We got some friends together, and filmed this video in a cornfield, stereotyping the typical "Nebraskan Life".  A couple months after posted this video, we had the opportunity of being interviewed at a Nebraska news stations called, NTV, and we also got interviewed a different time for their 10:00 o'clock evening news.

YouTube Celebrities/Inspirations

Ever since moving to Nashville for school, I've had several opportunities to meet some of my favorite YouTube musicians.  I've looked up to these people for so long, so it's such a cool thing to me that they just started putting videos on YouTube, and now make a living making music.
